Coby TFTV1524 15-Inch Widescreen LCD HDTV/Monitor with HDMI Input, Black Review

This set is a bit small, but man, is it a looker. It features abuilt-in HD tuner for digital OTA reception, HDMI & Component connectors for hi-def media players, as well as an SVGA hookup to perform as a computer monitor. The speakers sound a bit "tinny" as could be expected, but the volume can get up fairly loud.

And hard to tell from the pics here, but its cabinet and screen have a nice looking glossy finish. The only downside is that is does have a somewhat narrow viewing range (though it has a tilting base). Otherwise, a great little unit with an excellent price tag.

Overall, you get what you pay for.The TV has a good picture and sound, and seems to be a good value at $98. The picture looks good, even at a side angle.At first it sounded tinny, but I changed the setting to "movie" and it sounds good.It is lightweight and fits on a shelf in my bedroom perfectly.Here's the only glitch - there is no universal remote code for my Brighthouse universal remote, or any other remote I can find except the one that came with the TV.I am now stuck with using two remotes; one to turn the TV on and off and adjust volume, and another for DVR box functions. If I had to do it over, I would spend another few dollars and buy a name brand that is recognized by most remotes.

Haier TCR13 13-Inch CRT TV/DVD Combination with ATSC Tuner (Silver) Review

-the picture is a wee bit squashed horizontally.
-the remote's number configuration is not the standard 3 x 3
-the pause when changing channels is nearly 2 seconds, which may not seem like a long time but when you're clicking through trying to find something......it takes forever.
overall i am dissappointed.

Coby TFTV1212 12-Inch Widescreen LCD Digital TV/Monitor Review

I bought this set based on price and the other reviews which are very positive.While the price is fine, and I had no difficulties with Amazon or the seller, the quality of the set is very poor.No matter what I do, I cannot get a decent picture (fuzzy and the color and tint are awful.BTW, the set is hooked up to a satellite dish, so its not the broadcaster.The sound is almost offensive and does not change with the settings.Very tinny.I would return the set but there is a 15% restocking fee and then shipping charges.Since we only use it infrequently (in the kitchen) we decided it is not worth the cost of returning it.It is nice looking and was easy to set up, but the picture and sound negate anything positive about this set.

Sansui DTV1300 13-Inch Color TV with ATSC/QAM Tuner Review

What I needed was a simple analog monitor. Since this unit had an input for composit video, I was hopeful it would suffice. Thankfully, it filled the bill. I would have preferred that the connection were on the back, but can live with it as is. The picture is clear and sharp even if slightly cropped from the CRT mask.

P.S. Some months later -- After only a couple months the picture started to lose color and sometimes would tear badly (picture distortion). Other times it would lose all color. Usually turning the power off and back on would correct it, but not always. Very disappointing.
